President’s Mother’s Day Message

Members of the Board of Management of the Mississauga 55 Plus Cari-Can Group and fellow members, on this Mother’s Day in the year of our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty Two, I do express best wishes and God’s blessings to the mothers of our club on one of the most celebrated days of the year—–Mother’s Day.

Helen Steiner Rice in 2015 penned the words to this poem describing a Mother’s love.

A Mother’s love is something that no one can explain. It is made of deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain.

It is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may. For nothing can destroy it or take that love away.

It is patient and forgiving, and it never fails or falters, even though the heart is breaking.  It believes beyond believing , when the world around  condemns and it glows with all its beauty of the rarest, brightest gems , it is far beyond defining.

It defies all explanation and it still remains a secret, like the mysteries of creation.

A merry, splendid miracle, man cannot understand, and another wonderous evidence of God’s tender guiding hand.

Enjoy your day as much as is possible, with your children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and great, great Grandchildren, charges, family and friends.

Thank you all for all that you have done and continue to do in performing your motherly role.

Again, God’s richest blessings be upon all of you on this very, very special day.

Orlander R. Marshall
